Curator and publicist; b. 1949 in Graz (A); studied paedagogics and languages in Graz and Paris; as of 1976, with Manfred Willmann established a photography programme at Forum Stadtpark artists' organization; 1979 – 1997 organized annual ‹Symposiums on Photography›; 1980 co-founder and until 2010 editor in chief of Camera Austria magazine; 1996 – 1999 artistic director of ‹steirischer herbst› contemporary art festival; since 2001 custodian of the estate of photographs by Pierre Bourdieu.
